I think we all have those days when we feel the need to get more motivated, or know a friend who could use a pick-me-up. Inspirational phrases can be used to make a variety of items: a handmade frame to place on your desk, a gift scrapbook, a thinking-of-you greeting card, or a decorated journal for recording your thoughts, ideas and sketches.
One of my favorite cards I’ve ever made (that I still keep out on display on my crafting desk) was for a submission call last year for Paper Crafts magazine. They were looking for cards that would provide healing to a recipient. Rather than going the traditional “get well soon” route, I had another idea…
I combined a few sentiment stamps (October Afternoon, Ali Edwards) and letter stickers (American Crafts) to make a motivational message. You can find supplies and instructions for making the same card here.
